This is static actually coming from my radio but its plugged into the same cord as my tv & they are very close together. So it's actually interference. Also the proximity of my phone gives more sound (ringy static). That really awesome modulating sound is the moment between clicking the on button & the picture coming on the screen. 2nd try was better after i adjusted the tuner a bit.

I recorded this sound with my nokia lumia 900 cellphone inside a boeing 737. The airplane landed, the pilot is saying good-bye through the loudspeakers. You can also hear the engines of the plane and people unlocking their seatbelts. Additionally, there's a crying baby on the background. The plane landed on schiphol airport.

This sound was made by me, i tied down my canon powershot a460 digital camera inside the engine bay of my 1993 rover 620si, and it's got a petrol honda engine, no turbo on this version. I had my video recording on my camera in the engine bay while i was driving. I started the engine up and took it for a drive. I simply took the sound off the video. This is a slightly too-loud recording made on a mid-afternoon weekday bus trip in suburban shanghai. One can hear the automated announcements, the voice of the ticket collector and other passengers, the traffic outside and the sound of the bus accelerating and braking.

Recorded on my zoom h4n in early spring at 1:32 am. I believe this to be a call of the great horned owl that is found all over north american as well as parts of central and south anerica. There is a distant sound of a dog barking but there are three owl calls, with the last two the cleanest.

Here's a low volume, low frequency noise recorded during an acoustic survey of a condominium to identify a sleep-disturbing noise. It is primarily a combination of 13, 18 and 23 hz (5 hz steps). Not audible on computer speakers, it should be listened to on closed back headphones or very good quality sound system.

This is the sound of an inland vessel on river rhine, near mannheim, germany. You can hear the rhythmic and fluctuating vibrations of the diesel engine. Seems to be an older one. Unfortunately i oriented my zoom h2n wrongly (90° to the right). So most of the noise appears on the left ear.
